Senior Developer

Senior Developer PositionThe Office of Information Services (OIS) seeks an experienced Senior Developer to support further development, enhancement, and improvement to the eXPRS application. The contractor's key person will assist with identification and remediation of application bugs, operational requests, application enhancements, performance and maintenance requests, application refactoring requests, user interface improvement requests, and data and reporting requests. The work will be comprised of developing and delivering updates to the eXPRS application, including software code changes and documentation. The contractor will engage in discussions with system and business experts, attend daily Scrum meetings, and work with the ODHS business product owner to understand functional business requirements and timelines. The contractor will also engage with the ODHS project technical architect to understand technical standards and document technical design. The schedule for completing the operations and maintenance of the ODHS/ODDS eXPRS application is dependent on the business and other project work. The services will be completed using an Agile approach. The contractor's key person should have 10+ years of experience in J2EE, IBM DB2 UDB, Java, and Eclipse, prior state government experience within the last five years, and 1-3 years of experience in eXPRS Application Development. The contractor should have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related degree, and familiarity with software development methodologies, standards, coding best practices, and general debugging procedures. The contractor should also have experience with SQL server and Oracle databases, and familiarity with using SQL, PL/SQL, or T-SQL. .NET languages, HTML, and Web Architecture. The contractor should be available to work onsite within a reasonable timeframe and have consistent access to high speed internet, cellular phone/landline phone, web camera and microphone. The contractor should be available to engage with OHA/ODHS as agreed upon with management.
