Associate Attorney

The Jacksonville Office of Wicker Smith O’Hara McCoy & Ford, P.A is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 2 to 8 years of experience to join our dynamic litigation team. This position will focus on general liability and professional liability matters, providing a unique opportunity to handle complex cases in a collaborative and client-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, and motions Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and arbitrations Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance carriers Develop litigation strategies and work closely with senior attorneys and partners Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school 2 to 8 years of experience in general liability and/or professional liability defense Active license/ In good standing to practice law Strong analytical, research, and writing skills Excellent communication and advocacy skills Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Why Join Us Wicker Smith takes pride in providing our employees with an excellent work environment, competitive pay and benefits and endless possibility for growth for those who join our team and initiatives to provide the best service to our clients.
