Quality Control InspectorThe Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all products meet established functional and quality standards. This role performs inspections, verifies compliance with specifications, documents results, and supports corrective action processes to maintain consistent product quality.Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED requiredAssociate degree or technical certification in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferredExperience RequirementsMinimum 1 year of experience in quality control, manufacturing, calibration, or inspectionExperience working within ISO 9001 and/or ISO/IEC 17025 quality management systems preferredAbility to read engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specificationsTechnical KnowledgeUnderstanding of quality control principles and inspection techniquesFamiliarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)Knowledge of root cause analysis tools (5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, etc.)Understanding of non-conformance reporting and corrective action processesPrimary ResponsibilitiesPerform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of productsVerify product compliance with customer specifications, engineering drawings, and applicable standardsDocument inspection results and maintain accurate quality recordsIdentify, document, and report non-conforming productsAssist with root cause investigations and corrective actionsCollaborate with production, engineering, and management to resolve quality issuesCorrectly apply concepts such as accuracy, resolution, and precisionRequirements & SkillsProficient in precision measuring equipment: Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gages, Dial Indicators, Pin Gages, Optical ComparatorsStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsEffective written and verbal communication skills; must speak and understand EnglishBasic computer proficiency (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)Experience with ERP or quality management software is an assetStrong math skills, including the ability to work with decimals and apply trigonometry in daily tasks
