Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) – Schedule: PRN Overview Peak Rehabilitation Hospital, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and Duke Health, WakeMed, is dedicated to prioritizing patient well‑being to deliver exceptional care. This role supports rehabilitation services within a nationally recognized health system and academic medical center network. How You’ll Contribute Communicate patient progress or concerns to the supervising occupational therapist and interdisciplinary team. Instruct patients’ families or nursing staff in follow‑through programs and home exercises. Assist with patient scheduling and post treatment charges to patient records daily. Document patient care accurately and in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements. Maintain treatment equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition. Ensure compliance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, and applicable laws and professional standards. Perform other duties as assigned. What We’re Looking For Education: Associate’s Degree required (Occupational Therapy Assistant). Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in stressful environments. Proficiency in multiple clinical software systems and rapid learning ability. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS). Licenses: Licensed and eligible to practice as a COTA in North Carolina.
