We partner with local restaurants, bars, coffee shops, gyms, marinas, shops, teams, and other community favorites to help them sell their official apparel online without having to manage inventory, fulfillment, or an e-commerce operation themselves. For customers, Local Threads is a place to shop and represent the community staples they know and love, discover exclusive merchandise from places they may not have heard of yet, and feel good knowing every purchase supports a local business. Local Threads is a subsidiary of Quantech Services. Payroll and Benefits will be run through the parent company Quantech Services. The Opportunity We're looking for a motivated, outgoing Field Sales & Business Development Representative who is excited about the opportunity to help build and grow a young company. You'll be a key part of expanding Local Threads across New England, getting out into local communities, connecting with business owners, and bringing on new partners. We're looking for someone who can build genuine relationships, communicate the value of Local Threads, and help turn new opportunities into lasting partnerships. Because Local Threads is still in an early stage of growth, this role comes with the opportunity to make a real impact on the direction of the business. You'll have a voice in how we approach new markets, identify opportunities, strengthen our sales process, and grow our network of partners. We want someone who is excited by the idea of building something, bringing new ideas to the table, and growing their role as Local Threads continues to expand. What You'll Do Prospect and identify high-potential local businesses and organizations throughout the Massachusetts and New England area. Track outreach, follow-ups, and sales activity to keep leads organized and move businesses through the signup process. Maintain an organized pipeline and consistently follow up with prospective partners Spend significant time in the field visiting businesses, meeting owners and managers, and developing relationships. Pitch Local Threads clearly and confidently, both in person and through phone, email, and social outreach. Own the sales process from initial outreach through signed partnership and active storefront launch. Work collaboratively with the CEO and Director of Operations to collect logos, product information, photos, and other materials needed to get businesses live. Develop creative ways to generate leads, referrals, and introductions within local communities. Provide feedback from the field and help improve our sales process, messaging, onboarding, and go-to-market strategy. Who We're Looking For Ideally 2 years of sales, business development, account management, or related customer-facing experience; exceptional recent graduates will also be considered and are encouraged to apply Highly comfortable walking into a local business, introducing yourself, and starting a conversation with an owner or decision-maker. Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, competitive, and comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment. Strong communicator who can build genuine relationships rather than relying on a scripted sales pitch. Organized and persistent with strong follow-through. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word to track leads, manage sales activity, and keep records organized. Comfortable being measured on results and motivated by a commission-driven compensation structure. Willing and able to travel locally throughout New England for in-person sales activity. Compensation & Logistics Base Salary: $55,000 Commission: Uncapped, performance-based commission tied to successful business onboarding and storefront activation. Travel Compensation: You'll be reimbursed for approved business travel expenses, including mileage, parking, and tolls, in accordance with company policy. Travel: Role is based out of Lexington, MA. You will be expected to be in the Lexington Office 1 day each week, on the road 3-4 days, with one day of remote work permitted schedule dependent.
