WelderIn this role, you will:Set-up and operate MIG welding machines, adjust machine and wire feed as required.Normally welding on 16 gauge to 10-gauge mild steel, attaching accessories and fittings or seam welding on parts.Work from layout marks, simple drawings.Use scale, square and power tools.Assemble and tack weld repetitive jobs, finish weld, tack welded assemblies, usually in down and or vertical position.Operate grinder to clean and shape weld.Conduct visual and dimensional check of own work.Support WEG's 5S program in an effort to maintain work area, equipment and supplies in a neat, organized manner.Notify supervisor of material shortages or other concerns.Work safely in required PPE to manufacture a high-quality component of a transformer.WEG offers competitive compensation, meaningful and exciting career options, as well as excellent benefits, including paid vacation, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, life insurance, and disability.Founded in 1961, WEG is recognized as one of the largest electric machine manufacturers in the world.
