Job Description
# Exciting Opportunity for Dedicated Nurses

Job Description:
- Shifts: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM
- Location: 130 Hays St, Luling, TX 78648
- Flexible work week with every other weekend required
- On-call requirement: 3 shifts per 6 weeks

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care following established policies, procedures, and protocols
- Implement and monitor patient care plans
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate
- Serve as the primary coordinator for all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
- Document and carry out physician and nursing orders
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team

Requirements:
- Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Capability to thrive in a stressful environment
- Certifications required: Advanced Life Support, Pediatric Life Support
- TNCC preferred but not required

Unit Overview:
- Level IV Trauma Facility
- 5-bed Emergency Department (ED)
- 16-bed Med/Surg Unit and 2-bed IMC
- Staffing typically includes 2 RNs with a mid-shift of either an LVN or RN
- 24/7 emergency care for adults and pediatric cases involving acute injuries and life-threatening conditions
- Immediate stabilization and transfer of patients needing higher-level care to network hospitals

Additional Details:
- Familiarity with Compass/Cerner EHR
- Uniform: Navy Blue scrubs/scrub jacket

Onboarding Requirements:
- License verification
- Completion of Ascension Specialty Exam and other onboarding checklists
- Health history documentation including MMR, Hepatitis B, and Influenza vaccine
- Driver's License/State ID
