Quality Control Inspector

Contract-to-Hire | Potential conversion after 3 months based on performance About the Opportunity Kelly Engineering is hiring a Quality Inspector to support the incoming inspection of outsourced metal components for an established medical device manufacturer in Torrance. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on inspection experience who is comfortable reading mechanical drawings and using precision measuring equipment. Responsibilities Perform incoming inspections of metal components. Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools. Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection requirements. Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records. Process inspection records within an ERP system. Identify nonconforming materials and communicate quality concerns. Partner with Quality Engineers and manufacturing personnel to resolve issues. Verify that incoming materials meet requirements before entering production. Required Qualifications At least 2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience reading mechanical drawings and inspection specifications. Hands-on experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and similar measuring equipment. Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills. Ability to work onsite in Torrance from 6:00 AM–2:30 PM. Preferred Qualifications Experience inspecting metal or machined components. ERP experience with SAP, Oracle, M3, or a similar system. Medical device, aerospace, or semiconductor manufacturing experience. Familiarity with FDA, GMP, or ISO-regulated environments.
