Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist

Jackson HealthPros is hiring a Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various disease states.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science required.
• Medical Technologist certification required (ASCP, NCA, AMT, or HEW).
• Minimum 1 year of experience performing high-complexity CLIA testing in a clinical laboratory.
• Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) required; prior EPIC experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of blood bank procedures and testing.
• BLS certification required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a hospital laboratory setting with 24/7 operations and weekend/holiday rotations.
• Prior experience with instrument competency assessment and method validation.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 08:00 to 16:30.
• Workweek: Monday through Friday with required weekend and holiday rotations.
• 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts.
• May be required to float to other facilities within the client system.
