Overview In a nutshell: The Account manager owns the day-to-day customer relationship and is results driven. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and growing accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving sales growth. This role requires a deep understanding of fabricating equipment, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in account management. What you will be doing Maintain customer relationships: Serve as the liaison for assigned customers, providing them with regular updates and resolving any issues they may have to ensure customer satisfaction. Revenue Generation: Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing customer accounts to drive revenue growth (focus on software, service and training sales – transfer new machine sales to Sales Development Engineer). Collaborate with the Sales and Operations Team: Work closely with the sales team to achieve sales targets and align company services with customer needs. Develop Account Plans: Create and execute strategic account plans that drive both customer success and business growth. Report on Account Progress: Regularly monitor, track, and report on the status of accounts, including sales results, activity reports, and customer KPIs to sales leadership. Ability to travel 60% within their respective region Key tasks and Responsibilities Manage and develop relationships with key customer accounts, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions Work closely with the sales team to provide technical expertise during customer meetings, demonstrating Bystronic´s capabilities Translate customer needs into detailed requirements, coordinating with the Sales Development Engineer for new machine sales or performs cross-selling for software, service and trainings Monitor the delivery of services to customers, ensuring a consistent level of quality and service, and troubleshooting any issue Keep abreast of industry trends and technological advancements and inform customers about potential benefits or impacts on their operations Be the relationship manager for existing customers; responsible for customer satisfaction Responsible to follow-up on the customer satisfaction survey detractors with existing customers Responsible to ensure all customer accounts are up to date KPI’s Meeting or exceeding set sales targets through successful management of customer accounts. High rates of customer retention, demonstrated customer satisfaction by repeat machine sales Achievement of specific growth objective Consistent increase in customer lifetime value, through upselling, cross-selling or other Reduced complaint rates or improved NPS Maintain a DSO of Key Skillset Excellent customer management skills with a talent for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and understand their needs. Good understanding of the sheet metal industry processes, and services to provide accurate and relevant recommendations to customers. Strong communication and negotiation skills, capable of presenting, pitching, and selling ideas or solutions effectively. Analytical skills with the ability to track and interpret sales data, to help inform decision-making and strategy dev. Proactive problem-solving abilities, both in handling customer issues and in pursuing business growth by identifying new opportunities.
