Mechatronics Engineer/Technician

This role has the opportunity to work with electrical and mechanical equipment including PLCs. Background in mechatronics or education desired.

What's a Typical Day Like?

• Plan and implement projects to improve production methods and equipment performance.
• Design, develop, and test machinery and tools.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues.
• Modify or create special tools and fixtures as needed.
• Conduct cost assessments and validations for projects.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in the plant.
• Provide technical assistance for production equipment.
• Inspect and assess parts for dimensional accuracy.
• Adjust, test, and operate equipment for optimal performance.
• Use metalworking tools (lathe, drill press, mill, grinder) for part fabrication and repair.
• Initiate purchase orders for necessary parts and machines.

What Are the Requirements of the Job?

• Associate's degree in a technical field preferred OR 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
• Experience with PLC and CNC programming and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic circuits, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding (stick, MIG, TIG). xhyhwjd
