Position Summary and Qualifications

Clinical Nurse Coordinator

Under the general oversight of the unit director, the Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for directing and coordinating all unit functions during their assigned shifts. Collaborating with other management team members, this role involves ongoing evaluation of the quality of patient care services delivered in the unit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, document, report, and address any changes in patients' conditions.

• Create and maintain precise, detailed reports and records.

• Consult and collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and adjust care plans based on patient responses and conditions.

• Delegate nursing tasks appropriately while retaining accountability for patient care.

• Provide tailored education for patients, families, and caregivers throughout the care continuum.

• Adhere to safety and infection control standards in patient care delivery.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.

• Registered Nurse licensure from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or a compact state.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
