Electrical Engineering Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Consultant to provide high-level technical support for military construction and civil works projects. This role focuses on the review, coordination, and quality assurance of electrical design deliverables, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. The consultant will operate independently within an A/E environment, supporting government-related design review processes.

Provide professional electrical engineering support across all project phases, contributing to the development, coordination, and quality assurance of design deliverables.

Perform detailed technical review and analysis of electrical design documents, including plans, specifications, calculations, and supporting documentation.

Deliver written observations and recommendations to ensure alignment with applicable codes, Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), and project-specific standards.

Support government review processes by providing independent commentary using platforms such as ProjNet and DrChecks, in coordination with A/E teams.

Monitor the status of A/E deliverables and provide schedule-related insights to support project timelines.

Evaluate design packages for technical accuracy, interdisciplinary coordination, and adherence to established electrical design standards.

Review and validate resolution of design redlines and comments to ensure compliance prior to key submission milestones.

Assess compliance with relevant electrical codes and standards, including NEC, UFC, and NFPA requirements.

Develop technical summaries, analysis reports, and status updates to support Engineering Division objectives.

Facilitate mentorship and knowledge-sharing sessions for internal A/E teams, focusing on electrical design practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends.

Additional Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Minimum of 15 years of electrical design experience. Expert Level.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Fort Worth, TX.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $74.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
