Salary : $100,000 - $125,000 + bonus

We’re seeking an experienced Department Manager to lead and grow a practice focused on building enclosure consulting, commissioning, testing, and structural/materials diagnostics. This is an opportunity to combine technical expertise with team leadership, client development, and business growth while working on a diverse range of challenging building projects.

What You’ll Do

\n

\n
• Lead projects involving building enclosures, roofing, waterproofing, façades, exterior walls, fenestration, air/water barriers, and moisture intrusion investigations.
\n
• Oversee building enclosure testing, condition assessments, structural/materials diagnostics, and repair recommendations.
\n
• Develop proposals, scopes, budgets, and client-facing technical deliverables.
\n
• Manage project quality, profitability, schedules, staffing, and risk while maintaining strong client relationships.
\n
• Help grow the practice through business development, client development, and strategic planning.
\n
• Lead, mentor, and develop technical staff while supporting recruiting and team growth.
\n
• Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture or similar discipline plus 8+ years of relevant experience.
\n
• Experience with building enclosure systems, roofing, waterproofing, façades, exterior walls, fenestration, or structural/materials diagnostics.
\n
• Experience managing projects, budgets, schedules, staff, and client relationships.
\n
• Strong technical writing and communication skills, including experience with proposals, reports, field observations, testing, and repair recommendations.
\n
• Professional certification or licensure in your area of expertise is preferred.
\n
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
\n
