Internal Medicine Physician Opening North of Boston Loan Forgiveness

A regional health system north of Boston, which includes community physician practices and two hospitals, is adding Internal Medicine Physicians. The health system has earned multiple accreditations and distinctions, such as The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval, Blue Distinction Centers+ for maternity and bariatric care, advanced cardiac and imaging accreditations, and repeated HeartCARE Center National Distinction of Excellence from the American College of Cardiology.

About the Opportunity:

• Medical staff of more than 400 Physicians covering 60 different specialties
• The main hospital is 189 bed non profit facility affiliated with notable teaching and tertiary care partners, including an ongoing partnership with Tufts Medical Center
• This position will be a total outpatient
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, with one admin day that can be done remotely
• There are no evening office hours
• The average daily patient census is 18-22
• Call 1:7
• Spanish fluency is a plus; however, not required

Financial Package:

• Base salary plus quality incentive and productivity incentive includes a comprehensive benefits package
• 4 weeks of paid vacation
• 1 week of paid CME time plus $4,000 in expenses
• Loan forgiveness through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. 

Community/Location:

• A historic city in Essex County along the Merrimack River, located about 25 miles north of Boston and just a few miles south of the New Hampshire border.
• Its estimated population is around 89,000 people, making it a culturally diverse urban center with deep industrial roots dating back to the 19th-century textile boom.
• The city is easily accessible via Interstate 495 and I-93, and regional transit includes the MBTA commuter rail to Boston.
• For air travel, Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) are both roughly 30 miles away.
