Payroll Specialist

Key Responsibilities Process payroll for multiple U.S. small business clients across various payroll platforms. Manage payroll data, reconciliations, and processing timelines with a high level of accuracy. Support payroll onboarding and system setup for new clients. Assist with bookkeeping and accounts receivable related to payroll operations. Communicate with clients to resolve payroll questions and provide excellent support. Ensure compliance with U.S. payroll regulations and tax requirements. Document and improve payroll workflows, SOPs, and operational processes. Collaborate with internal teams to support payroll platform transitions and operational improvements. Requirements 3–5+ years of experience in payroll, accounting, or operations. Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance. Experience processing payroll with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. College degree or equivalent professional experience. Fluent English, both written and spoken. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and business software. Comfortable working independently in a remote environment. Nice to Have Experience with ADP, Paychex, Asure, iSolved, or similar payroll platforms. Bookkeeping or accounts receivable experience. Experience supporting client onboarding or working directly with clients. Familiarity with AI or workflow automation tools. Experience supporting multiple clients simultaneously.
