Details Work on a Telemetry unit within a hospital setting Night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 1:6 patient ratio Floating within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius may be required Cerner experience preferred Requirements Active PA or Compact RN license required Minimum 1 year of Telemetry nursing experience required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only) Charting system experience required Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred Previous charge nurse experience preferred Skills in IV therapy, central and peripheral line care, and blood product administration required Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and telemetry monitoring required Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration) required Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration required Two supervisor references preferred SSN, DOB, and RTO required for consideration Additional Information Provide skilled nursing care to cardiac and telemetry patients, including monitoring for dysrhythmias and coordinating with rapid response teams Manage patients with cardiovascular, neurological, renal, and orthopedic conditions Support post-cardiac catheterization, post-MI, and post-cardiac surgery care Assist with wound care, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols Must be available to work every other holiday Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not accepted Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers Fingerprinting, drug screening, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing All compliance requirements must be cleared by the Wednesday prior to start Approximately 1 hour of pre-start training modules required before entering the facility American Traveler Job ID P-743748.
