Details Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department setting within a Magnet-designated teaching hospital Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM Patient ratios typically 4:1 with occasional flex to 5:1 Every other weekend required, with only Friday-Sunday weekend block scheduling available No weekday block scheduling offered No on-call requirements No floating outside of scope required Uses EPIC EMR for charting Requirements Active MO state RN license (or compact) required at time of consideration Pending IL license accepted for IL-based candidates Current ACLS and BLS certifications required Minimum 3 years of ER experience required; candidates with 2-3 years may be considered if they have Level I Trauma Center experience and one prior travel assignment Level I Trauma Center experience required EPIC charting experience required Must be able to interpret and manage dysrhythmias Must pass Relias EKG exam covering dysrhythmia interpretation and management Additional Information Provide emergency nursing care within a high-volume Level I Trauma Center Navy blue scrubs required No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first week of orientation First-time travelers are not accepted for this position Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius; local candidates are not accepted Standard travelers residing outside the 75-mile radius may stay for up to 18 months, followed by a required 3-month break in service Former permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any facility within this health system as a traveler American Traveler Job ID P-749688.
