Our teachers bring the L.E.A.P. curriculum to life while helping young learners develop the foundational skills needed for preschool success. Key Responsibilities Lead a classroom of 2‑year‑old children in a safe, nurturing learning environment Implement engaging, age‑appropriate learning activities using the L.E.A.P. curriculum Support language development, social‑emotional growth, and early problem‑solving skills Guide daily classroom routines including toileting readiness, meals, transitions, and rest time Foster positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators Maintain an organized, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment Communicate regularly with families regarding milestones, progress, and daily activities Partner with assistant teachers to ensure classroom consistency and success Follow all New Jersey childcare licensing and safety requirements Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Prior childcare, daycare, preschool, or toddler classroom experience required CDA or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) Strong communication and classroom management skills Passion for supporting young children's growth and development Must meet New Jersey childcare licensing and background requirements What We Offer Competitive hourly pay Supportive leadership team and positive work environment Paid training and professional development opportunities Employee childcare discount Career growth opportunities within The Learning Experience Apply Today Join The Learning Experience – River Vale and help young learners build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning as they prepare for their preschool journey.
