After our materials have gone through the necessary processes, we are left with high-performance finished goods that are ready to be incorporated into assemblies for our customers.Position SummarySet up, operate, and program CNC Lathes.Essential FunctionsConduct all set-up operations in support of machining for self and others.Set up and operate machines in accordance with process sheets and any other required paperwork (i.e. drawings, specifications, etc.).Create, edit, and/or retrieve CNC programs from system files and execute.Adjust machine controls and change tool settings to keep dimensions within specified tolerances.Inspect and verify conformance of product to specifications, using a variety of inspection equipment such as gages, micrometers, indicators, shadowgraph, and micro-height.Use manufacturing paperwork including travelers, blueprints, and sketches.Meet time and schedule standards.Identify set-up reduction opportunities and Lean process opportunities.Properly use the MRP system to record job information.Other DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
