Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist - Farmington, CT TNAA TotalMed Allied is recruiting a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Farmington, Connecticut. The position requires 40 hours per week, structured as 10-hour shifts (travel). The technician will operate fluoroscopic equipment and assist physicians during minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Responsibilities Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support. Assist in scrubbing and preparation for all diagnostic and interventional procedures. Monitor the patient throughout all procedures. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques to maintain safeguards for patients and operators. Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and pathology to interpret examination requests and assist physicians. Operate intravenous and dye injector pumps. Maintain accurate patient records. Use the McKesson PACS system. Requirements Minimum 1 year of recent acute-care experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist. BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification; state-specific licensing when required. Vascular Interventional certification preferred. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for extended periods of time. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
