In addition, this role actively contributes to the education and training of learners, including medical students, residents, and fellows, and participates in departmental and divisional academic activities.## **Job Description:****Job Duties:*** Attend on HMCT inpatient services on a rotating basis, including shared weekend and on-call responsibilities.* Establish and maintain outpatient clinics for patients with non-malignant hematologic conditions.* Supervise the plan of care, procedures, diagnostic testing, and consultation orders of house staff in both inpatient and outpatient settings.* Participate in hematology/BMT conferences, journal clubs, and other academic activities, and provide teaching lectures to residents, medical students, and fellows.* Support departmental and divisional research efforts, including clinical trial development, accrual, and research mentorship.* Perform other duties as assigned by the Division Director and/or Department Chair.* Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain expertise in non-malignant hematology and related clinical and research practices.This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Employer-paid life insurance, long-term disability insurance, and various additional voluntary insurance plans are available. Paid time off, including vacation and sick, begins accruing upon hire, plus ten paid holidays. One paid discretionary day is available after six months of employment, and paid time off for bereavement, jury duty, military service, and parental leave is available after 12 months of employment.
