Prep Cook for Long-Term Care and Assisted Living Facility

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare ingredients and assist in the cooking of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines

- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet meal schedules

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food prep areas

- Follow safety and sanitation standards to ensure a safe working environment

- Assist with inventory management and proper storage of food supplies

- Support the dietary team in meal plating and portioning as needed

- Adhere to all health regulations and facility policies

Skills and Qualifications:

- Previous experience in food preparation, preferably in a healthcare, assisted living, or long-term care setting

- Knowledge of dietary restrictions

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Good communication and teamwork abilities

- Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) is preferred

- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to food prep
