Our LPNs works in harmony with the Charge Nurse to assure that all nursing services are rendered on the unit. Assist physicians to ensure that all documentation is completed by physician as necessary. Administers treatments as ordered according to the physician’s orders and the policies and procedures of the facility. Astutely and consistently observes unit and all residents and reports pertinent information to Charge Nurse. Assumes Charge Nurse responsibilities in the absence of the Charge Nurse. Participates in the hiring process of CNAs and assists in the orientation of new co-workers. Administers medications according to the policies and procedures of the facility and in accord with the physician’s orders. Reports any problems concerning a medication order or the administration of the medication to the Charge Nurse in a timely manner. LPN Requirements : LPN license in the state where employed. CPR certification, if you do not have one we will pay for you to be certified. Must possess a working knowledge of the rules and regulations of the Department of Health pertaining to licensed practical nursing, and the storage and administration of drugs. Minimum of one-year experience in assisted living or other health care setting. Leadership skills and the ability to form relationships with residents, their loved ones and our co-workers. Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this type of role.
