SUMMARY:

Responsible for the general servicing of the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Keep the facility clean and all facets of the facility in working conditions.

· Mop, sweep, clean bathroom facilities, wipe off tables and counters, empty trash, waste, and recycling materials.

· Wash dishes, put dishes in dishwasher and run it.

· Clean coffee pots and brew coffee for staff.

· Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.

· Service, cleaning, and supply restrooms.

· Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.

· Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.

· Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.

· Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.

· Steam-clean or shampoo carpets.

· Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.

· Clean and restore building interiors damaged by fire, smoke, or water, using commercial cleaning equipment.

· Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.

· Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.

· Notify Managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.

· Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.

· Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as luncheons, meetings, and special events.

· Abide by all rules and regulations as set forth in your employee handbook.

· Sustains 5S in workstations.

· Practices ESL’s core values daily.

· Perform other duties/tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

· High School Diploma

· Stand/walk, lift/pull/push for most of the scheduled shift.

· Effective understanding to communicate with coworkers.

· Climb, stoop, and kneel.
