Travel RN – Emergency Room (Rapid Response)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | 6-Week Assignment | Expected 48 hours/week | Overtime may be available after 48 hours

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with a 101-bed unit and typical patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 on behavioral holds
• Utilize Cerner for all clinical documentation throughout each patient encounter
• Operate unit equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Adhere to patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior practices, and maintaining updated patient boards throughout each visit
• Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed; no floating outside of the ED
• Work every other weekend; scheduling must meet departmental needs with no block scheduling or special scheduling accommodations

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
• ACLS required prior to start date
• BLS required prior to start date
• PALS required prior to start date
• TNCC required prior to start date
• CPI required prior to start date
• NIHSS required prior to start date
• ENPC required within 90 days of hire
• Strong teamwork mentality with ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department
• No RTO or special scheduling requests will be accommodated for this assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center
• Background in a high-volume Emergency Department with more than 100,000 annual visits
• Previous experience with HCA facilities
