SCCM Engineer

Role: SCCM Engineer Location: Lincolnshire, IL Duration: 6 Months Position Overview Certificate / License: Microsoft certification a plus. Ability to work independently with some guidance from supervisor/manager. Ability to effectively prioritize work for contractors and consultants. Extensive experience implementing and maintaining SCCM for Microsoft and third‑party patch management, mass software deployments, and application self‑service portal. Experience with multiple technologies, including Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10, Windows 7), HP PCs and laptops, and endpoint security solutions such as Symantec Endpoint Protection and Encryption, Microsoft AV, and BitLocker. Business acumen to understand the impact of changes and service disruptions on operations. Functional knowledge of infrastructure and application technologies and how they relate to delivery and maintenance of services such as LAN/WAN, messaging, mobility, and printing. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences. Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non‑technical resources to architect, design, and implement solutions. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex technical problems with team members, customers, and vendors quickly and effectively. Ability to work successfully as part of a global, virtual team. Technical SCCM skills: support SCCM in a multi‑site environment and distribution point deployment; perform DP setup using the SCCM Console and DP deployment using PowerShell cmdlets; migrate site by site; create custom reports; deploy third‑party patches using SCUP or other tools; perform SCCM client deployment using PowerShell cmdlets or console; perform SCCM client troubleshooting; create, test, UAT, and deploy applications and packages; create custom collections; set up boundary and boundary groups; set up security scopes and custom security roles using XML files and assign security scopes to security roles; troubleshoot SCCM infrastructure including MPs, DPs, and the primary site server.
