Job Summary

The Telecom Expense Project Manager will support MTA’s Telecom Expense Management Unit by analyzing telecom expenses, managing vendor invoices, optimizing costs, and improving telecom asset management processes. The role involves financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, budget tracking, and identifying cost-saving opportunities across mobile, voice, data, and IT services.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze telecom invoices, vendor reports, usage data, and expenses to identify discrepancies and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Manage telecom asset validation and reconciliation across carrier systems (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint).
  • Generate ServiceNow reports, dashboards, and perform large data analysis.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, project spend tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Monitor vendor expenses, contract funding, and resolve budget variances.
  • Improve Telecom Expense Management processes and reporting workflows.
  • Gather business requirements and provide data-driven recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, IT, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with telecom expense management, financial analysis, budgeting, or auditing.
  • Strong skills in Excel, reporting, dashboards, and large data analysis.
  • Experience with ServiceNow and PeopleSoft preferred.
  • Knowledge of invoice analysis, vendor management, and cost optimization.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
