Travel Physical Therapist - $2,468 per week

Job Overview Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Westborough, Massachusetts. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement treatment plans using exercise, manual therapy, modalities, and specialized equipment. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, proper body mechanics, injury prevention strategies, and self‑management techniques. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to stay current with best practices. Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued patient progress. Qualifications Valid Physical Therapist license in compliance with Massachusetts regulations. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred: Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy, existing physical therapy experience (new graduates are welcome), and any additional certifications or licenses required for the position. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Proficiency in reading and following written and verbal instructions, as well as PC skills. Physical ability to remain stationary, move about, lift equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal skill to work professionally with a variety of personnel. Technical skill to grasp, manipulate, push/pull equipment, and assist with procedures. Mental resilience to handle frequent public contact, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain focus on details. Visual acuity for effective communication.
