Registered Nurse (RN) - Night 3x12.0 Shift

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering quality patient care by implementing nursing care plans and supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. This role emphasizes safety for both patients and employees, ensuring a high standard of care in a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to identify teaching needs and goals.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, focusing on education based on identified health care needs.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
• Supervise and provide direction to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies.
• Actively maintain communication with management regarding service needs.
• Assume charge responsibilities following the orientation period as needed.
• Pursue professional growth and education opportunities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid RN license.
• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience.

Schedule

This is a night shift position, working 3x12-hour shifts.
