Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Provide high-quality nursing care to labor and delivery patients in a high-acuity environment. Ensure patient safety and comfort through proficient clinical skills and effective communication.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Manage laboring patients with a focus on high acuity cases, utilizing advanced clinical expertise.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assess fetal wellbeing in accordance with protocols.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Document patient history, care provided, and clinical observations accurately in Epic EMR system.
  
  
• 
  Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including float to various units as needed.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to all safety standards, including emergency response protocols and labor support procedures.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Require at least 1 year of recent labor and delivery nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Hold an active, valid nursing license in the state.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency with Epic EMR and pass a compliance EKG exam.
  
  
• 
  Be BLS, ACLS, and NRP certified; AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred.
  
  
• 
  Have experience caring for high-acuity, laboring patients.
  
  
• 
  Comply with travel and background screening requirements as specified.
