COOK (FULL TIME)

Position Cook – Full‑time, immediate hire at Inova Loudoun Hospital, 44045 Riverside Parkway, Leesburg, VA 20176. Schedule Full‑time. Days may vary, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM with rotating weekends. Location Inova Loudoun Hospital, Leesburg, VA. Online applications only. Compensation and Benefits Pay: $18.25–$18.50 per hour. Sign‑on bonus: 50 % paid after 30 days and 50 % after 90 days; terms apply. Job Summary Prepares food in accordance with applicable federal, state and corporate standards, ensuring quality food service at all times. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepares high‑quality food items per standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules. Serves meals or prepares for delivery, using correct portioning, temperature control, and attractive presentation; tastes prepared items. Uses ticket collection procedures during service; records area worked during periods. Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high cleanliness standards; stores or discards excess food per safe food‑handling procedures. Maintains refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat; ensures proper storage of food and supplies. Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed. Assists with production planning, record keeping and reporting as required. Assists with ordering and receiving of all food and supplies. Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to supervisor immediately. Attends in‑service and safety meetings. Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers. Performs work safely while maintaining a clean, safe environment. Performs other duties as assigned. Ensures proper presentation, portion control and serving temperature; follows HACCP standards. Commits to safety for self and others. Abides by all company policies and procedures. Uses appropriate protective equipment: medium‑weight cut gloves for knives and slicers; oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves for hot pans; slip‑resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques. Qualifications Requirement: One year of previous cooking experience.
