Qualifications

Required Licensure: Current Physical Therapy License (Eligible for licensure in Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri)

Required Certifications: BLS Certification from AHA only

Years of Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapy experience

Job Responsibilities

Under the direction of a physician order, the Physical Therapist will plan and implement specific evaluation and treatment programs based on the patient's physical, developmental, and psychosocial needs. Responsibilities include:

Evaluation:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations including medical history, subjective findings, motor and sensory function assessments, functional mobility, gait, and endurance.

Develop patient-centered, function-focused, measurable goals.

Treatment:

Implement therapeutic interventions to address functional, psychosocial, and educational needs.

Utilize various modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and manual therapy.

Document treatment and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.

Discharge Planning:

Educate patients and caregivers on home programs and equipment use.

Recommend follow-up care as needed.

Documentation:

Complete all documentation in a timely and thorough manner following regulatory guidelines.

Customer Satisfaction:

Adhere to service techniques to maintain positive relationships with patients and team members.

Professional Development:

Engage in continuing education and provide supervision for students during clinical rotations.

Working Conditions

Candidates should be prepared for physical demands, including heavy lifting, extensive bending, and standing. Physical tasks may require pushing, pulling, gripping, and minimal crawling or kneeling. Proficiency in using equipment for treatment modalities is essential.
