This position interacts with all departments in the organization to develop & advance Zurn Elkay’s sustainability strategy and improve Zurn Elkay’s social and environmental impact.Collect and analyze data required for all environmental, social, and governance metrics across the organization, identifying opportunities for improvement and creating processes for better data measurement, input, and verificationLead inventory of Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions in alignment with GHG Protocol, and water and waste footprints. Collaborate with stakeholders to create and implement reduction initiatives across relevant categoriesSupport technical development of Annual Sustainability report by aggregating and analyzing data; assisting the narrative and design; and partnering with data owners to create actionable insights from data delivered year over yearEnsure compliance with sustainability regulations (e.g. California SB 253 and SB 261 or SEC) and additional annual reporting requirements including, but not limited to, CDP, UN Global Compact, The Water Council - WAVE: Assess program and key rating agencies including ISS, MSCI, Sustainalytics, and S&P GlobalServe as a sustainability subject matter expert to relevant stakeholders including employees, customers, and suppliers, which may include development of internal training, responding to product requests and supply chain inquires, and integration of appropriate product and operational sustainability initiativesSupport product sustainability documents including, but not limited to, Health Product Declarations, Environmental Product Declarations, Life Cycle Assessments, and other product certificationsPartner with key suppliers to improve supply chain impacts, including materials sustainability, water use, emissions, social & environmental impactSupport the growth and development of Zurn Elkay’s Inclusion and Belonging program, overseeing our Employee Resource Groups (ERG) and acting as a central trusted advisor for resource group leaders and executive sponsors and ensuring all groups have clear charters, operating guidelines, succession plans, and structuresPlan quarterly ERG leadership meetings and monthly check-ins with each ERG, tracking membership growth, establishing annual goals and budgets, and reviewing all marketing and communicationsMaintain ERG platform and tools, including ERG lead SharePoint, Cognito forms for event submissions, and new shared Outlook Calendar to minimize event overlap and coordinate collaboration across ERGsMonitor regulations, disclosures, emerging trends, technologies, and best practicesQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies or Sustainability required3+ years of experience Passionate about sustainability and enacting change for positive impactExperience in greenhouse gas and/or environmental metrics accounting, including Greenhouse Gas (GHG) protocolFamiliarity with product sustainability initiatives, including LEED v5, building product certifications, and Life Cycle Assessment methodologiesExperience aggregating and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to inform decisions and take effective actionWorking knowledge of corporate responsibility reporting frameworks, including GRI, IFRS, and SASBProficiency with Excel and data visualization (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI)Ability to work through complex problems, balance alternatives, and understand & communicate trade-offsSelf-starter, works autonomously, ability to multitask and prioritize workStrong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively present new concepts and communicate cross-functionally to varying levels of leadershipCritical thinking skills for developing innovative sustainability solutions that meet business needsDetail oriented.
