Accounting Clerk - AP/AR

Accounting ClerkWe are looking for a dependable and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. This is an entry-level to early-career position that will primarily support Accounts Payable, with some assistance in Accounts Receivable and other general accounting tasks as needed.This role is a great fit for someone who is organized, focused, comfortable with data-entry work, and eager to learn. Extensive accounting experience is not required. We are more interested in finding someone with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to learn and adapt.ResponsibilitiesEnter and process vendor invoices accurately and timelyAssist with coding invoices and matching supporting documentationMaintain accurate vendor and invoice recordsAssist with Accounts Payable processing and payment preparationResearch basic invoice or payment discrepanciesPerform routine data entry and accounting-related administrative tasksProvide support to Accounts Receivable as neededUpload customer invoices and supporting documentation to customer billing portals as requiredMonitor customer portals to ensure invoices are submitted successfully and address basic submission issuesAssist with payment posting and customer account maintenance as neededMaintain organized electronic records and supporting documentationAssist the accounting team with other projects and responsibilities as neededQualificationsStrong attention to detail and accuracyDependable and able to stay focused on repetitive tasksPositive attitude and willingness to learnAdaptable and comfortable taking on different responsibilities when neededGood organizational and time-management skillsBasic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and OutlookGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a teamExperience & EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious office, administrative, bookkeeping, Accounts Payable, or Accounts Receivable experience is helpful but not requiredAccounting degree or extensive accounting experience is not requiredTraining will be provided for the right candidateCompensationApproximately $40,000 annually, depending on experience.What We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who is reliable, focused, and ready to learn.
