Senior Revenue Accountant

This established and highly respected company is seeking a Senior Accountant to support corporate accounting operations, revenue recognition, financial reporting, and cross-functional business initiatives. The Senior Accountant will support key accounting and financial reporting activities with a strong emphasis on ASC 606 revenue recognition within a SaaS business model. This role will oversee reconciliations, profitability analysis, forecasting, financial reporting, tax compliance, audit support, and process improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, ERP systems experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments in a fast-paced global environment. Worksite Location: This hybrid position is located in Bloomington, MN. On-site work is required three days per week. Salary Range: $95K - $120K/yr. base salary. Roles & Responsibilities: Coordinate and apply proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 for a SaaS-based business model Partner with internal functional leaders to analyze revenue and expense drivers and support forecasting activities Assist with monthly segment and product profitability analysis Perform account reconciliations, research variances, and prepare adjusting entries as needed Enter, review, and approve financial transactions within the ERP system Maintain controls over sales tax and other business tax reporting requirements Prepare schedules and supporting workpapers for internal and external audit requests Ensure compliance with company financial policies and GAAP accounting standards Assist with monthly and annual financial statement preparation Support annual budgeting and mid-year forecasting activities Participate in financial and tax audits Lead special projects and support cross-functional finance initiatives Assist with training and mentoring other finance and accounting staff members Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of accounting experience within a global corporate environment 3+ years of hands-on ASC 606 revenue recognition experience Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting standards Experience working within SaaS, software, or technology-based business environments preferred Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience with multi-currency accounting and transaction/translation activities Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to analyze financial data and communicate actionable insights effectively Preferred Skills & Experience: CPA certification preferred Experience supporting operational finance and cross-functional business teams Experience with financial process improvement and internal controls Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced global organization Versique is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating a diverse workforce.
