Overview Veridian Homes is seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting and financial operations. This is an opportunity to join a respected homebuilder known for innovation, sustainability, and smart growth practices while serving as a key member of the leadership team. The Controller will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, internal controls, and accounting operations while partnering with leadership to support the company's strategic goals. Why Join Veridian Homes Key leadership role with visibility across the organization Opportunity to lead and develop the accounting team Collaborative and innovative company culture Ability to influence business decisions and drive process improvements Work for a company committed to sustainable homebuilding and long-term growth What You\'ll Do Lead the monthly and annual financial reporting processes Manage cash flow forecasting and budgeting activities Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and job costing Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures Coordinate annual audits and tax preparation Build and develop a high-performing accounting team Partner with executive leadership on financial planning and strategic initiatives Identify opportunities to improve processes and leverage technology, including AI solutions Qualifications A successful candidate will have a bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field, and a CPA or CMA designation. The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, budgeting, and cost accounting is required. The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams is essential.
