Student Employment Award Work Study Position Our department helps guide students through academic excellence with co-curricular activities and programming. The Federal Work Study Students for the Office of Student Government and Leadership Development will provide the utmost level of customer service for the Student Union main office. We seek students who are engaging, kind, welcoming, and enjoy championing a peaceful, and friendly work environment while serving as student ambassadors for their respective campuses. Position Description: Assist the Administrative Assistant/Coordinator in the execution, setup, and cleanup of Henderson Campus Life events Provide active student engagement before, during, and after Henderson Campus Life events Assists the Department AA/Coordinator with creating and posting event flyers, updating designated bulletin boards Fulfill Coyote Cupboard and Cody's Locker student pickups and provide excellent customer service Help maintain organization, cleanliness, and inventory of designated department spaces such as office area, pantry, fridge, and storage areas Assist in the fulfillment of any purchases for food or supplies the department may need Assist with the management of social media accounts Make copies and file documents Create student and faculty/staff ID badges Assist with office and file folder maintenance Complete tasks as assigned by various Henderson Campus Life staff members Assist students with information and services as needed Help answer any incoming calls, retrieve and respond to voicemails and messages, and direct inquiries to the appropriate person, office, or department Scanning/Filing paperwork, data entry, and archiving old files Other duties as assigned Our services benefit: CSN students and staff. Work Experience in our Department supports the following Degree/Certificate Programs: Employment in your department would provide helpful experience AA or AB Required Qualifications: Microsoft Office knowledge/experience Be friendly, outgoing, supportive team member, and willing to learn Have a good understanding of diverse communities and cultures Ability to follow directions and communicate well Be punctual, reliable, cooperative, and trustworthy Ability to complete assigned projects independently Work well in a team setting with colleagues and staff Good knowledge of CSN's basic services and campus departments Preferred Qualifications: Previous customer service skills are preferred Creative and artistic skills Knowledge of computer graphics programs such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite Experience creating and posting content for social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok To be considered for this position, candidates must attach the following documents: 1. To maintain eligibility, students must Show a financial aid eligible major (degree or certificate program) declared with the CSN Office of the Registrar, and Meet Financial Aid Satisfactory Progress after each semester/term to qualify for employment within the academic year, and Show degree compliant enrollment for each semester/term for which funding is desired. Be enrolled in at least 6 credits and meet additional eligibility requirements of the Silver State Regents Service Program for summer semester/term employment. * Student's cannot work another part-time position within NSHE at the same time they are employed as a CSN College Work Study student.
