Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 13 or 26 week contracts available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in Labor and Delivery, including labor, preterm labor, and triage across 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
• Perform and assist with circulating, scrubbing, Pre-Op, Post-Op, OB-GYN, Low Risk Antepartum, and Low Risk L&D cases
• Attend all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries, and support GYN surgeries, Couplet Care, and Transition Nursery
• Administer blood and blood products, and manage medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Epidural Pumps, PCA Pumps, Syringe Pumps, and Wound Vac
• Float as needed to Post-Partum and potentially other Labor and Delivery units at a nearby sister facility

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be available to work 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day; up to 2 major holiday requests off may be considered
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted
• Local candidates (within 50 miles of the facility) are welcome to apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Experience with high-risk obstetric patient populations
• Familiarity with specialized procedures such as Cardioversion/Defibrillation and Cooling/Warming Blanket use
