Position Monitor Tech Location Medical City Arlington Shift Full-Time, Nights (7 p - 7 a) with rotating weekends Job Summary Views patient monitors on a continual basis and informs nursing staff of any significant changes in activity immediately; provides assistance in responding to noted changes in patients and others exhibiting signs of a heart attack, stroke or respiratory distress. Responsibilities Make critical rhythm interpretations. Communicate rhythm changes to staff nurse or charge nurse. Perform simple arithmetic calculations. Apply basic understanding of the patient monitoring and the inter‑relationship of each hospital department. Organize and complete work assigned. Anticipate the needs of physicians, nurses and other hospital departments. Communicate the needs of patients, families and visitors in a professional and timely manner, recognizing life‑threatening signs and symptoms of heart attack, stroke and respiratory distress. Qualifications Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. No travel required. No experience required.
