Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating shifts Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience License: Active RN License required Certifications: PALS or ENPC, ACLS, BLS, TNCC, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Active TX RN License - 2+ years of ER experience - PALS or ENPC - ACLS - BLS - TNCC - NIHSS Description: This position requires applicants to have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Room setting. Candidates must possess an active RN license. All travelers are required to float as needed during shifts. The nursing team values teamwork and strong communication skills. Experience with Meditech is preferred. The documentation system used in the unit is Meditech. Additional required skills include Conscious Sedation, participation in intubations, and managing behavioral health. Candidates should be familiar with handling sepsis and stroke protocols, including TPA administration for stroke cases. Dress code requires navy scrubs, with acceptable undershirts and jackets in white, navy, or black only. Nail polish should be clean, with no acrylics or excessive length allowed. Hair should be off the shoulders and in natural color. Visible body art should be covered whenever possible. Piercings other than earrings should not be visible. Floating guidelines and attendance policies must be observed. This position exists due to a vacancy.
