Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) to join our Sterile Processing Unit. The technician will be responsible for ensuring the sterilization and proper functionality of surgical instruments and equipment, adhering to strict safety and organization standards to support the Operating Room team.

Shift Details

• Shift Timing: 1:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Call Requirement: 24-hour call every 8 weeks on Saturday and Sunday
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Unit Information

Unit: Sterile Processing

• Common Cases: Ortho, Spine, Robotics, General Surgery, Urology, Gynecology, ENT
• Number of Suites: 9
• Manager: Lynnette Burgard
• Leads: Rosa and Brandon

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, sterilization, and assembly of surgical instruments
• Utilize ultrasonic cleaning technology
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during cleaning and sterilization processes

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Sterile Processing
• Required Certifications:
• BLS (AHA)
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)

Orientation

Orientation to the unit will be provided. All clinicians must be available in-state for the week of orientation, even if some components are conducted remotely.

• Self-scheduling is permitted
• Typical scrub color: Ceil blue
• No floating requirements to other units
• Call response time: 30 minutes
