The Work: We are seeking a Business Analyst to support a federal government program by gathering, analyzing, and translating business needs into technical and functional requirements. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working in AWS cloud environments and partnering with technical teams to improve systems, processes, and data-driven decision‑making.This role works closely with government stakeholders, product owners, developers, and cloud engineers to ensure requirements are clearly defined, documented, and delivered in alignment with mission objectives.Job Location: This is remote with periodic travel to the client office in Washington, DC. What You Will Do: Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for government systems and applicationsTranslate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteriaWork with AWS-focused technical teams to support cloud-based solutions and system enhancementsSupport system modernization initiatives, cloud migrations, and application enhancementsParticipate in Agile ceremonies (backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives)Develop and maintain documentation such as BRDs, FRDs, process maps, and workflowsAnalyze current-state processes and recommend future-state improvementsCoordinate with stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure traceability through deliverySupport testing activities by assisting with test case development and UAT coordinationEnsure requirements align with federal policies, compliance standards, and security guidelinesWhat You Will Bring With You: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility5+ years of experience as a Business AnalystWhat We Would Like You To Bring With You: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field.
