About The Team We conduct hundreds of live auctions each year around the world. It takes a hardworking team of energetic people in a wide variety of full‑time and part‑time roles to conduct a successful multi‑million dollar auction – from equipment inspectors, yard managers and operators to administrative staff and customer service representatives. About the Team – Yard Operations Our yard operations crew handles the day‑to‑day logistics of vehicle movement and auction preparation, ensuring a smooth and safe workflow across the facility. Job Description IAA, an RB Global, Inc. company, is seeking a Loader Operator. Loader Operators are essential to the success of our branch operations, using front‑end loaders to maneuver vehicles around our facilities in preparation for auction. While safety is paramount, these operators also experience a dynamic role that embraces technology and industry‑leading tools. Responsibilities A day in the life: Utilize a front‑end loader to move vehicles and other equipment around the IAA facility. Load and unload trucks as they deliver or pick up vehicles. Ensure equipment is fully functional by performing routine inspections, basic maintenance, and maintaining safe operating conditions. Maintain lot inventory of vehicles and parts. Document and record vehicle information, perform vehicle improvements (e.g., shrink wrapping, steam cleaning), and conduct light maintenance in preparation for sale. Assist visitors by providing guidance and directing them to the appropriate person for additional assistance. Remain calm, alert, and actively avoid potential safety hazards or situations that could cause damage to property while operating front‑end loaders or other heavy equipment. Immediately report any violations of company policy to a supervisor or manager. Qualifications First, let us double‑check: candidates must have a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma (or equivalent). The role is physically demanding, so it is not a desk job. We value an upbeat demeanor to ensure positive customer interactions, general mechanical knowledge, and teamwork. While not required, it would be great if you have forklift or front‑end loader (Volvo L90G and L90H) operating experience. Experience in automotive and collision repair or a related field is strongly preferred. Physical Demand Highlights Apply appropriate security, maintenance, and safety procedures to protect company and customer assets. Use personal protective equipment (e.g., safety gloves, safety glasses). Avoid accidents by recognizing potentially unsafe situations and responding appropriately. Follow industry‑specific regulations related to hazardous material handling. Constantly lift, carry, push, or pull up to 20 lbs. Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull over 100 lbs. Constantly reach outward, handle objects, stand, walk, and sit. Frequently bend, squat, kneel, twist, turn, climb, and crawl. Work primarily outdoors in all types of weather. Remain alert to potential hazards associated with heavy equipment and other vehicles operated in the work area. Working Conditions Primarily outdoor work in all types of weather. Remain alert to potential hazards associated with heavy equipment and other vehicles operated in the work area. #J-18808-Ljbffr Ritchie Bros.
