Principal Clinical Specialist

Abbott seeks a Principal Clinical Specialist for its Electrophysiology business in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This senior role involves providing advanced technical and clinical support for cardiac arrhythmia products, mentoring clinical staff, and serving as the primary clinical interface with physicians and healthcare systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced engineering, sales, and technical support for complex EP product inquiries on 24-hour on-call basis
• Develop and lead training programs for healthcare professionals on EP products and procedures
• Mentor and supervise other EP and cardiac ablation clinical support staff on complex cases
• Identify market needs and sales opportunities; advise management on product performance and next-generation product development
• Provide implant case coverage for high-volume EP accounts and backup support to sales representatives

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of clinical experience in electrophysiology
• 2+ years in senior EP clinical specialist role
• IBHRE EP certification required
• Demonstrated ability to perform complex EP cases independently
• Case volume and revenue metrics above national average
• Top performer in case completion within region at promotion time
