Job Responsibilities Responsibilities develop partnerships with faith-based communities, schools, work sites and the community at large and assist these groups with developing health promotion programs prepare and disseminate educational and informational materials promote health discussions within schools, industry, and community agencies teach groups and/or individuals on health education/promotion topics provide information to the public regarding health concerns and resources. This is Not a Remote position. Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in education, social, behavioral, or biological sciences or a directly related field from an accredited college or university. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Public Health from an accredited college or university, preferred. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills, such as oral presentations, written reports, articles, and data entry. Must be able to establish effective working relationships with internal and external partners, coalitions, and stakeholders. Knowledgeable in Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint. Additional Information All West Central Health District 7 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event including but not limited to: staffing a shelter, working at a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or working at a Point of Dispensing site (POD). If you are called on to participate, you are required to report to the designated site as a condition of employment, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours. The use of physical breaks during the workday is authorized to support this philosophy and assist employees in meeting their physical goals.
