Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk

Location: Waterloo, IA (Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk to support a busy office environment in Waterloo. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with customers while balancing transactional and administrative responsibilities.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Handle high-volume, in-person customer interactions in a fast-paced environment
Accept and process payments (cash, check, credit card) accurately
Serve as a “catch-all” resource —assisting customers and directing them to the appropriate department (billing, service setup, etc.)
Process mail-in payments during slower periods
Manage inbound calls , assisting with:
Payment arrangements
Account extensions
General account inquiries
Support disconnect/reconnect payments and related paperwork
Provide backup support to the credit lead as needed
