Licensed Veterinary Technician – Yonkers, NY Join Thrive Pet Healthcare to provide comprehensive veterinary care in Yonkers, NY. This full‑time (30–40 hours per week) role supports veterinarians and patients across a range of clinical settings. Our Ideal Candidate A passionate animal‑care professional who is detail‑oriented, collaborative, and ready to work day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, including at least one weekend shift per week. Role Responsibilities Support veterinarians to ensure quality care, advocate for pets, and educate clients. Assist with surgeries and procedures per state Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed technicians. Monitor and assess patients’ status. Collect blood and other samples for testing. Place catheters. Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options, medications, and treatments. Maintain comprehensive medical records using practice systems. Obtain health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts. Use safe restraining techniques and follow protocols, maintaining clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs. Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members. Experience & Skills Requirements Veterinary technician licensure required. 1–2 years of clinical experience. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA‑accredited veterinary technology program preferred or equivalent education, training, and experience.
