Sr. Manager, Manufacturing Operations - 2nd shift

Responsibilities Lead a full value stream on the 2nd shift, driving performance across key operational metrics—safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement. Align team goals with plant objectives, allocate resources, and communicate performance through production boards and shift‑to‑shift hand‑offs. Implement and enforce standardized work, 5S standards, and workplace safety procedures; manage accident investigations and corrective actions. Champion Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives, conducting root cause analysis and waste reduction activities. Lead, develop, and inspire teams of Area Leaders, Team Leaders, and hourly employees; conduct coaching, performance management, and succession planning. Ensure product quality by maintaining the Manufacturing Control Plan and partnering with engineering and quality teams to improve yield and service call rates. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related technical field. At least 7 years of leadership experience in a high‑volume manufacturing operation. Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and ERP or other business systems. Ability to resolve complex manufacturing problems independently. Preferred Qualifications Black Belt or similar certification in Lean, DMAIC or associated change mechanisms. Demonstrated accomplishments showing results‑motivated methodology, analytical skills, and teamwork. Knowledge of appliances manufacturing processes.
