Step into a key role supporting student success as an Educational Diagnostician in a vibrant district setting. This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for dedicated professionals eager to make an impact by conducting assessments, writing detailed reports, and collaborating closely with educators and families.

As an itinerant diagnostician, you’ll provide services across two schools, working with diverse K-12 learners. Your expertise will directly shape individualized education plans and inform strategies that foster student growth. The school year contract runs from August 10, 2026, to May 21, 2027, offering a meaningful position within an established educational community.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Valid Texas classroom teaching certificate
  • Minimum three years of full-time teaching experience
  • Successful completion of the Texas Educational Diagnostician Certification Exam
  • Prior experience working in a school-based setting as an educational diagnostician
  • Ability to complete Texas fingerprinting/credentialing requirements
  • Strong interpersonal, organization, and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer and interpret a range of educational assessments for referred students
  • Prepare comprehensive diagnostic reports that guide educational planning
  • Participate in ARD/IEP meetings, sharing insights to support collaborative decision-making
  • Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to recommend instructional strategies based on assessment data
  • Travel between two assigned schools while maintaining accurate records and timely workflows
